Welcome to the Interstate Repeater Society Website

Our battery backup is now live! The 2 Meter repeater will automatically switch to battery backup at reduced power output during loss of utility power. The courtesy tone will change to a Morse Code “B” [dah-dit-dit-dit] indicating the repeater has switched to emergency battery power. We expect at least 3 days operation on battery; please avoid lengthy conversations to conserve battery power and maximize repeater runtime.

2021 Upgrades to Derry IRS Repeater System

We have done a lot over the past year to upgrade the IRS Club repeater system and infrastructure! Many volunteers have provided their talents and time to make it more robust and reliable. Echolink has also been added “On the Hill” for our club members and users.  Improvements and repairs have been made to the repeater itself, controller, amplifier, antenna system and interfaces. The repeater shack and website have also been improved. The IRS club hopes you are enjoying the repeater and hearing the difference! We want to thank all those who have contributed.

Feel free to look around and also visit our Facebook page. A lot has changed over the last year, including a new website format and addition of a Swap Shop page.

We host three weekly nets:

On Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM, we host a net on the 146.85 repeater. All are welcome to join; you do not have to be a club member.

On Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM, we host an HF net on 3.850 MHz +/-. All are welcome to join.

On Sunday Evenings at 8PM, we host the West Rockingham County ARES NET on the 146.85 repeater. All are welcome to attend; you do not have to be an ARES Member.

Donations are graciously accepted to help support the cost of running our repeater system. If you wish to donate, you may do so using our mailing address or the Paypal Donate button.

A very special thanks to those who have volunteered their time. We couldn’t keep the repeaters running without you.

Thanks as always for your continued support.
